Nataša Kovačić is an associate professor at the University of Rijeka, Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, where she also got her PhD in the field of Hotel logistic product in sport tourism supply. She is the head of the Department of Logistics and Tourism Resources. Her publications reflect her research interests and include transportation and mobility management in relation to tourism, tourism supply chains, sports tourism, and smart tourism. She publishes in journals and participates with papers in conferences.

She participated in several scientific research projects, both as a researcher and as a project leader, and worked on important strategic projects of tourism development. Recently, Kovačić was a project leader on a scientific project Smart mobility and tourism: alternative mobility in destinations' tourism, as well as the head of two EU-funded projects: CEKOM - Competence Centre for Smart Cities and SMARTMed: Empower Mediterranean for Smart Tourism at her Faculty. She continuously updates her research and teaching skills by participating in educational workshops and courses. Her work also includes reviewing articles for journals and conferences. In her free time, she is involved in running and volunteers with Civil Protection.

Tomislav Car, PhD, is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Informatics at the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, University of Rijeka. He received his PhD from the same faculty in 2017. As a team member (researcher) he has participated in several projects: "Supply Chain Management in Hospitality", "Smart Mobility and Tourism: alternative mobility in destinations' tourism", "Future-proof your classroom: teaching skills 2030 - Teaching 2030" and "The CEKOM Project (Center of Competence for Smart Cities)".
